Self assessment and refund

Hello, my paper self assessment has been received on 22/07/2022 (this confirmed HMRC by phone). Till now do not have any answer and even do not know is refund calculated. I left UK on 23/05/2022 and do not live there anymore. Tried to call PAYE department but this is mission impossible, all lines are busy. Would like to know what is time frame and how long I need to wait the answer regarding the refund because it is abnormal already living in another country for half a year and not knowing what is going with your refund and sent documents.
