Child benefit repayments via PAYE

Good afternoon. I am required to repay child benefit as a £50k+ earner. Typically I have done this via a payment plan. My question, and excuse the naivety, is is if chose to repay via PAYE, would an amount be deducted from my salary on a monthly basis to cover the total amount repayable across the year - so 12 x payments? Thank you.

If you have completed and requested this by 30 December following the end of the tax year, it would go into your code the following April and be collected over 12 months.
