Bank repayment pending

Hi, I submitted my overpayment request two days ago and it’s saying ‘bank repayment pending’. Last year this meant I had been selected for additional security checks. Have I really got to go through this again? Is it possible the payment is just pending and will be completed within 10 days or does the repayment pending mean I will definitely have to wait up to 6 weeks?

Mine says the same. I haven’t had an option to request repayment. Did my return 6th April been at bank payment pending for ages now and nothing.

I’m in a similar situation. I submitted mine on the 6th April and still on payment pending. I’ve had to go through proving my identity before this and HMRC took incredibly long with how they dealt with it if I’m honest. But yeh if it has gone to security checks what should I expect ? Any advice? Got people around me who submitted their return after me with the money already in their bank.

Also the same, nearly all Self employed people I know had there payment sent out on 18th April and received it in bank yesterday. Some had only submitted there returns last week. Self assessment have told me today that if it is still showing as pending as of today on a return sent on 6th April, it will of been selected for additional security check. When I asked what kind of security checks are taking place they couldnt tell me, and I asked if i need to provide any information and they couldnt answer that either. hours of being on hold on phone calls and online web chats yet no one seems to be able to answer anything nor knows anything.

Mines was pending for days then on Saturday strangley as its not a working day it changed to a date of the 23rd which is Sunday and now at 1236am on Monday morning early hours its still ot landed in my bank.Does anyone know why it said the 23rd to be paid and now its not?very confused as to why this is like this.They like to play God with peoples taxes they've paid

Hello, My repayment says "Pending", and has done for 6 weeks now. I wonder if there is something I am missing? Are they waiting for me to complete some security check which I have missed? How can I get more information on the status of my repayment?
