  • RE: Specified Adult Childcare Credits

    Hi StanStan Stev,

To apply to transfer the National Insurance credits from your daughter to your National Insurance account please complete and return our form CA9176 ‘Application for Specified Adult Childcare credits’ which you can find here:

Apply for Specified Adult Childcare credits

If credits are awarded for part of the tax year then this will not enable the tax year to count for pension purposes unless there are contributions or other credits recorded.

    Thank you.
  • RE: U1 Form

    Hi,

The completed Status means that we have processed your application. U1 Certificates are issued by post to the address you supplied on form. If you do not receive the certificate, or request for further information, after approximately 3 weeks from applying, you can contact our National Insurance team for non-UK residents.

    Thank you.
  • RE: Is my company UK presence

    Hi,

If you are working in UK, you would normally pay UK PAYE and National Insurance contributions. You may be exempt from UK National Insurance (NI) if you are employed by a foreign company and they seconded you to work in UK. They may apply to the Hong Kong authority to allow you to remain subject to Hong Kong legislation during this posting.

In order for us to establish where your NI Liability would lie, you will need to write to:

    International Caseworker
    PT Operations North East England
    HMRC
    BA9 1AN.

Please provide the following information: Full name, date of birth, UK NI number (if you have one), your current address in UK, name and address of employer in UK (or name and address of employer in Hong Kong if no place of business in UK), where your contract is held, contract dates and periods spent working in UK and the nature of the business.

    Thank you.
  • RE: CF83 progress status not accessible any longer

    Hi Thomas Murphy and Beatriz,

We are sorry that you are having issues tracking the progress of your CF83 application online. There is some work underway at the moment on improving our Timescale Tool, which may be impacting this service?

Currently our International Teams are working hard to clear backlogs. We cannot give you a specific timescale for your application via this forum.

The deadline for paying voluntary NICs for years from 2006 to 2007 has been extended to April 2025, so you will not be penalised for our backlogs. If you want confirmation of when you are likely to receive a response to your application, please contact our National I nsurance team for non- UK residents.

    Thank you.

  • RE: Specified Adult Childcare Credits

    Hi Pancho99! alderton,

HMRC are unable to give any advice on pension entitlement. Therefore the letter we sent would have simply confirmed whether or not you had been awarded NI credits. HMRC do not know if the awarding of credits will increase your pension entitlement.

Your NI record will have been updated to show these credits on the day that the letter was issued. If we make a change to a NI record where a benefit claim, such as pension or ESA, has been made, an electronic update is sent to the DWP to advise there has been a change to the NI record. It is then down to the DWP to act on this information and establish if a recalculation of any benefit currently in payment is needed.

HMRC cannot say how quickly the DWP will act on this information, however if the credits were awarded more than 8 weeks ago, we would suggest you contact the Pension Services on and ask them to review your claim.

    Thank you.

  • RE: National Insurance Contribution for 2022/23

    Hi,

This varies from customer to customer. Some customers will already be able to view their 2022 to 202323 year in their personal tax account, but unfortunately others cannot.

This could be for a variety of reasons, most commonly it is not unusual for PAYE information from employers to take several months after the end of the tax year to be updated on the National Insurance record. There may also be some sort of query with your record.

If you contact the Future Pension Service they should be able to view your record and advise of any shortfalls which, if paid, would improve your pension entitlement. They will then be able to transfer you to HMRC who will provide payment details.

    Contact the Future Pension Centre

    Thank you.
