RE: Oversea limited company holding a rented property
Hi WK CHAN,
If, having read the guidance you need to register the company with companies house and there is already a company using that name then you will need to change the name for UK purposes, this could mean simply using the current name and adding (uk) to the name.
Thank you. -
RE: Invoicing own limited company?
Hi Michael Robinson,
The short answer is that it is possible, however there are implications and I would strongly suggest you contact a professional for advice.

RE: EU employment national insurance deductions vs ongoing voluntary class 2 contributions
Hi Kerma,
Sorry for any confusion.
As previously stated without looking at your personal records, I am unable to provide you with a definitive answer.
However, when you pay National Insurance contributions in an EU country, the contributions you pay cannot be transferred to the UK, but they may be taken
into account for your UK State Pension.
The pension service will take these into account when you make your claim for state pension.
If you have any further queries about your pension, you will need to speak to the Department for Work and Pension.
You can contact them on +44 (0) 191 218 7777, lines are open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
With regards to paying National Insurance contributions in two different countries, you would need to write to HMRC for an insurability decision as per our previous reply.
Thank you.

Hi Mikeuk92,
If you submitted your CA3822 application online, the current timescale is 15 weeks.
The area who will process your application are currently dealing with work received on 03/05/2023.
Unfortunately, without checking your personal records I am unable to see what position your application is at.
Further investigations may be required and that could be a reason why it hasn’t been processed within 15 weeks.
You can contact our helpline and we will be able to check your application and give you a more detailed response.
The contact number is 0300 200 3500 (+44 19 1203 7010 if calling from abroad) lines are open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

RE: Gain and losses in day trade for index
Hi MJK,
You would need to keep records for yourself on the actual day to day trading. it is then the total at the end of the tax year that you report.
You would therefore need to have at least 2 colums to show that you have a gain or loss for that particular day. it is from this that the position regarding the loss is establised.
The figure of £49200 is not an allowance, this is the limit of disposal proceeds that are a requirement for a tax return.
If your total disposals (before any losses) is below this, then you dont need a return. if over, a return is required.
Thank you. -
RE: Working Tax Credit
Hi neartotears,
The income HMRC take is an annual figure and will be shown on the award notice, however when an award is calculated we work out a daily rate and apply it to the award period based on current circumstances and income, in effect it does pro rata the income.
Thank you. -
RE: Second job tax
Hi Mr Sha,
We wouldn't share information with the employer, we only send them a tax code for their employment.
Thank you.
