RE:Using Alternative Evidence to Determine B2B
Hi dreamteam9999,
We do not list the types of alternative evidence you are able to use as these will differ from country to country.
However, the equivalent of a certificate from Companies House would be a good example of the type of thing that could be used.
Thank you.

RE: Supply VAT declarations to CDO - missing C79s
Hi Phil_D,
Have you confirmed that the correct EORI was used on the C88?
If not then you will need to contact the agent you used to declare the import.
If you have done this have you tried emailing:
CBC-C79requests@hmrc.gov.uk
To request copies of the C79?
If you have done both of these things then I would suggest calling the VAT Helpline on 0300 200 3700 so that we can take further details and escalate the issue.
Thank you. -
RE:missing C79, but Fedex is chasing me for £6,353 in import VAT
Hi bpich,
Have either Fedex or the Post Clearance Amendment Team confirmed that the amendment has actually taken place?
It may be best to call the VAT Helpline (0300 200 3700) to discuss this matter and if need be escalate the issue to look for a resolution.
Thank you.

RE: Oversea "single-premium" 5 years life savings insurance policy
Hi wongjtax3664,
Sorry no.
You would need to speak to the insurance company.
If you look at HS321 on gov.uk to give this to the insurance company this might make it clearer for them.

RE:Identification of deeply discounted securities (DDS)
Hi magnagatti cianch,
These are government securities and commercial bonds and loan stock, where the amount paid on redemption is higher than the price at which they were issued.
The difference is the discount and represents the whole or part of the reward to the holder of the security for the use of the money borrowed by the security issuer.
Where certain conditions apply, the tax rules ensure that gains on such securities are taxed as income, rather than as capital gains.
Thank you.
