Overseas capital loss
Hi Iris Look,
Yes so that it can be carried forward, when you bought out your partner in 2019.
It is only the additional 50% that is your cost price here and not the full £1300,000.
Thank you.

RE:Statutory Redundancy Paid Following Tax Year
Hi ccwh70,
As the redundany payment was made in the 22/23 tax year, you should include this as employment.
You will have received confirmation for the reundancy payments office of the taxable amount received.
Thank you. -
RE:Capital loss
Hi Dany156,
You don't need the capital gains section of the tax return, if you have nothing to report as the losses will carry forward until you need them.
For the 22/23 year, if the sale was in excess of £49200, you still need to report this#.
Thank you.

RE:Foreign income
Hi KFS So,
You don't need to report the fees as income.
For the rental income, yes you can claim the interest on the mortgage as residential finance costs.
As you state it is a joint property, all income and expenses must be split 50/50.
Thank you.
