  • RE: Temporary Reinstatement of leaver

    Hi
If your employee is returning to work, then you will use the P45 to add him on to your payroll software again.
You will need to process any payments made and then if he leaves the employment, you should follow normal procedures and generate a new P45.
If he is not returning to work, and you are simply paying final wages holiday pay etc, then you do not need to reinstate him.
Any payments made, will be treated as payments after leaving and are reported as such via your payroll software.
You can find guidance on payments after leaving here:
What to do when an employee leaves
Should you need any further assistance, please contact the Employer Helpline on 0300 200 3200.
    Thankyou.

  • RE: NEW PAYE SCHEME REFS NOT SENT TO AGENT ANY MORE

    Hi
Initial registration letters and online authorisation codes are sent to an employer's business address for security reasons.
This is to prevent fraudulent schemes from being set up and operated incorrectly.
I can only apologise if email acknowledgements are being sent advising the registration letters will be sent directly to an agent.
I will raise this issue for further investigation.
Online applications are generally processed within 7 days with the reference letter being issued to the employer/client.
Your client should receive this letter within 3-5 working days from when it was issued.
If you have a PAYE registration outstanding, please contact the Employer Helpline on 0300 200 3200 and an adviser will be able to progress chase this for you.
You will need your application reference number to hand.
    Thankyou.
  • RE: Long term remote working from Italy for a UK employer

    Hi
Under the circumstances you describe, your UK employer should continue to pay you through the PAYE payroll system when you relocate to Italy.
If, due to the length of your stay in Italy, you become tax resident there (and you are required to pay Italian tax on your employment income) you can apply for a code 'NT' by completing form P85.
If appropriate, HMRC would then authorise your employer to operate code NT until such times as you return to the UK.                                  PAYE operation: international employments
