RE: 2-year empty house renovation to have reduced VAT (5%) - can I reclaim VAT back?
Hi,
You can only reclaim the VAT if you are VAT registered and making taxable UK supplies.
As this relates to a dwelling this is not a taxable supply as residential housing in exempt from VAT.
We do have a DIY scheme but the Guidance on this states for a conversion the property would have to be empty for 10 years and used for yourself or family.

RE: Electric Car Chargepoint BIK
Hi,
This situation would not have any implication for the employee.
It means the ex employee now has a charging point which is not a benefit to the employee.
They are not required to reimburse the employer unless there was a clause stating this when the employee received this.
It is between the employer and the employee.

RE: How to correct defective unsubmitted FPS
Hi,
It is difficult to advise you on what is the best way to correct your payroll without knowing what the issue is with the January FPS or what software package you are using.
In this case, you may be best rolling your software back one month - to a prior position, i.e. as it was in December 2024 and re-running January payroll.
