RE:V Home responsibilities protection
Hi,
As confirmed on our website:
Home Responsibilities Protection, you cannot have HRP transferred to you if you reached state pension age before 6 April 2008.
This is also confirmed in the eligibility checker:

We apologise if you have previously been given incorrect information.
When HRP was introduced there were various criteria that had to be met this is one of them.
Thank you. -

RE: Full pension with only 30 years?
Hi,
Without being able to check your record we are unable to give a definitive reply, but from what you have said, that would appear to be the case. However HMRC cannot give advice on pension entitlement.

Thank you.

RE: CA8454 Healthcare entitlement document
Hi,
Our processes have recently changed, and we now require you apply for the A1 in order to also receive the S1.
The application form you will need to complete is the CA8421:
Apply for a certificate to confirm you pay UK National Insurance when working in 2 or more countries (CA8421)
It will ask a number of questions to determine your circumstances, one of the questions asks if you only work in the UK, and an A1 and S1 will be issued if you are eligible.
Thank you. -
RE: A1 for employee in the UK and self-employed in EU
Hi,
The correct form to complete when employed in the UK and self employed abroad would be the CA8421.
You can find this online at:
Apply for a certificate to confirm you pay UK National Insurance when working in 2 or more countries (CA8421)
Thank you.

RE: National insurance contributions data changed
Hi,
HMRC do not award benefit credits you will have to contact the Department for Works and Pensions:
Department for Work and Pensions
We can confirm some benefits also award NI credits but we am unable to confirm whether DLA would be one of these benefits.

RE: Incorrect National Insurance Number (Customer Service Never Available)
Hi,
Please check your Personal Tax Account (PTA) to see if the NICs you have paid have been credited to you Sometimes this type of issue is resolved by HMRC when the incorrect details come through from the employer.
If your PTA does not show the correct information, please write to the following address:
Contribution Caseworker
HM Revenue and Customs
National Insurance Contributions and Employer Office

You should include your correct NINO and also the incorrect one you have used.
Please also include copies of any payslips or P60s you have and any other relevant documents.
Please do not send original paperwork.
This type of query cannot be dealt with by telephone as we need to see the documents.
To manage your expectations, the area that would deal with this are currently working on letters that were received on 23 January 2024.
Thank you. -
RE: Can someone pay National Insurance voluntarily to qualify for free childcare?
Hi,
The eligibility calculator for free childcare is here:
Check you're eligible for free childcare if you're working
There is a section entitled ‘If you’re not currently working’ which you should check:
Class 2 NICs can only be paid if you are self employed.
Class 3 NICs only count towards basic State Pension
Thank you.
