RE: Continuing to pay NI contributions if I retire early
Hi,
Yes, you can voluntary pay class 3 National Insurance if you are not going to be either Working, Claiming Benefits or Self Employed.
You could set up a Direct Debit. To do so you can either contact the helpline or webchat, please find the details below:
Number-0300 200 3500
Overseas-+44 191 203 7010
Open-Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Webchat- Ask HMRC online
Alternatively you can fill in a form, or you can go to gov.uk to get the direct debit (DD) form by searching CA5603 then fill in the form and post it to us.
We do advise however to speak to DWP first before making any voluntary payments to HMRC.
DWP will clarify that you making voluntary payments will be beneficial for you.
Please find their contact number below:
Number-0800 731 0175
Oversea-+44 191 218 3600
If you were to make voluntary National Insurance payments without checking with DWP first and the payments you make have not benefited you, you will not be able to be refunded the payments.
Thank you. -

RE: Does Interest on Cash ISA count towards ISA allowance?
Hi Savvyornot,
If you have oversubscribed in the current tax year, you can contact your ISA provider to instruct them to remove overpayment amounts to correct the error.
If the error occurred in a previous tax year you should not do anything. You should not attempt to correct the situation.
HMRC will write to you after the end of the tax year in question if appropriate.
