RE: UK Motorcycle Dealer selling to trade customer in Northern Ireland
Hi,
You will need to make declarations and pay any tariffs due when bringing goods into Northern Ireland from Great Britain or from countries outside of the EU and the UK.
If the importer in Northern Ireland is willing to handle all the customs formalities, this will be a commercial arrangement.
The government has launched the free-to-use Trader Support Service which will help businesses and traders prepare for the changes that will affect your business if you move goods into and out of Northern Ireland.

RE: Importing personal goods from Germany after relocating to UK
Hi,
You can get relief from customs charges due on personal belongings and other goods, when transferring your place of residence to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) or Northern Ireland from outside the EU:
Transfer of residence to the UK
If you’ve been charged import duties but believe you were eligible to claim transfer of residence relief, you can still apply for the relief.
If the relief is granted and you or an agent made a full declaration using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS), you can complete form C285. The form will enable you to have the import duties repaid. Find more information on repayment of duty and tax, and form C285 in How to apply for a repayment of import duty and VAT if you’ve overpaid.

RE: Deferring customs payments
Hi,
Unfortunately HMRC are unable to comment on status of guarantors and their requirements.
A customs guarantee is an agreement to cover customs debt that has arisen, known as actual debt or will arise from certain customs special procedures, known as potential debt.
You must get authorisation to use a customs comprehensive guarantee if you have full authorisation to put goods into customs special procedures (inward processing, temporary admission, or end use).

RE: Report incorrect Customs Duty with BOR286
Hi,
You can use form BOR286 if you believe the Customs Duty or import VAT was wrongly calculated on an item you imported by post using Royal Mail or Parcelforce.
This form is sent to border force for repayment claim so it needs to be sent through post with all the evidence to support the claim.
