Hi, 21-22 was the first year my accessible pay exceeded £50k (£51,181.60). We've claimed for 2 children child benefits totalling ££1,827.80. Other than that my income/outgoings is very vanilla i.e. nothing else to note. Various calculators I've used state I should owe £215.97. So why does my self-assessment tax return calculation come out as Total amount due for 2021-22 = £698.00 Thanks, Kev

We could not confirm this without viewing your record, please contact our helpline once you have submitted the return.

You should also check that any allowances that were included in your tax code were also claimed on the return.
