about SA106(foreign). Capital gains part - BOX34 Number of days over which UK gain accrued BOX36 Number of days over which foreign gain accrued what does it mean, I don't understand the meaning. for example, sold foreign property on 1 Jan 2023. move to the uk on 1jan2022. (365days before sold) bought the foreign property on 1jan 2018. (5 years (or 1825days) before sold) so what is the number I should fill in box 34 and box 36? I had checked the notice for SA106, I understand if claim foreign tax credit relief then no need to fill in box34-36. however my mother was fully refund the foreign tax. therefore she hasn't foreign tax for capital gains. so she should fill the box 34 and box 36 thank you for your assistance.

Hi

As you are not claiming foreign tax credit relief on the property, you just declare it on the normal capital gain page for it to be included in the calculation.

Thank you
