RE: CGT on transfer of part equity of second home to child
Hi ccw,
An estate agent valuation would be acceptable, you cannot inflate the costs of buying the property as these will still be the same.

RE: Changes to the taxation of non-UK domiciled individuals
Hi
Detail on the Government’s intended changes to the rules for non-domiciled individuals set out here Technical note: Changes to the taxation of non-UK domiciled individuals.
HMRC is unable to provide any further detail on how these changes will apply to an individual’s personal circumstances at this time.

RE: Repayment of maternity pay
Hi,
While this can vary, in most cases your daughter would repay her former employer what she received from them (i.e. the net).
Her employer would then contact us to recoup any tax paid.
If possible, ask her employer to contact the Employer's Helpline for more advice.

RE: PAYE/NIC liability not deducted
Hi
Depending on when the direct debit was set up it may have been too late to collect the payment.
Generally the direct debit needs to be set up at least 4 working days before the payment is due to allow collection for that period.
If this is not the case then we would suggest you advise the client to make payment.
Thank you. -
