RE: How long after voluntary contributions are paid is pension increased
Hi,
As you are already over UK State Pension Age then please call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) and they will arrange for your payment to be allocated to your National Insurance account urgently.
The Pension Service will automatically be notified when your National Insurance account has been updated and amend your pension entitlement.
Please wait 10 working days from making your payment before calling the Helpline to allow your payment to be put onto your account.
Thank you. -
RE: Missing NI contributions any change in deadlines from being able to pay 10 years back
Hi C. Crowl,
If you’ve been employed in the UK and National Insurance contributions have been deducted from your salary during the 2023-2024 tax year then these contributions should be
shown on your Personal Tax Account (PTA) any time now.
If your contributions are not recorded on your PTA by the end of the year or if your query is about something else then please call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500
(from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) and they will help you further.
Thank you. -

Hi,
To change the rate from class 3 to class 2, a person must complete a new CF83 application -

RE: Second Job tax impact on primary job?
Hi,
If you undertake a second employment it should not effect your main employment, from the income you have described at your main employment you will come into higher rate tax for a small part of it, this would mean your 2nd employment would be liable at a flat 40% (not scotland) if both combined are less than £125,140

RE: Self employed and taken 2nd job - help with question from the accountant!
Hi,
The statements you have mentioned will decide if to apply the personal allowance against that income, if this will be your main source of income for now while your self employment gets up and running,
As universal credit is a non taxableble benefit you can tick option A if you have had no other taxable income since Apr 2024.
Thank you. -
RE: Part time second job tax
Hi emmahugman,
No it will not effect your main employment.
Thank you. -
RE: Tax Code
Hi,
The pesonal allowance is based on your income received in the tax tax year rather than what your yearly salary will be.
As the tax year runs from Apr 24 - Mar 25 and as you have said your income Nov 24-Mar 25 will be 50k you will be entitled to the full PA of 12570 with the remaining
being taxed at 20% till after Apr25.
After April 25 ou will need to make sure the code is correct based on your income of 120K
