RE: Travel expenses - flight invoice/order confirmation
Hi,
Any documentation that clearly confirms the information needed can be used, however if it is requested by HMRC you may need to explain what/why you are providing that kind of documentation.
As for if this is an allowable expenses HMRC are unable to give tax planning advise it is, your responsibility to self-assess.
You may want to look at CTM08000 - Corporation Tax: management expenses: for information on what is classed as allowable or not.

RE: Voluntary Class 2 NICs
Hi Spain Uk24,
You can pay one lump sum for all 3 years, or you can pay for each year separately if you do not want to pay all 3 years.
The year with two different amounts will be a mixture of class 2 and class 3 National Insurance contributions.
If you wish to pay for that year the full amount will need to be paid, you can’t pay for part years.
You will need to contact your bank in Spain to check if your payment will be automatically exchanged into sterling.
If you were to pay too much or too little due to the exchange rate, you will be advised on what action to take once your payment is processed.
Thank you. -

RE: Voluntary NIC - Incorrect records online vs HMRC Letter
Hi,
The amounts shown in the response to your CF83 application will be the correct amounts to pay.
Your online National Insurance contributions record will always show any shortfalls at the voluntary class 3, this does not get updated when you have been accepted at the voluntary class 2 rate.
Based on the information you have provided, it sounds like you have been accepted to pay at the class 2 rate.
Thank you.

RE: Paying Class 2 when job seeking immediately prior to moving to France and later self employed
Hi,
You can write to the department to dispute the decision made.
There is legislation that we have to follow on paying voluntary NICs in the UK from abroad.
The NI38 provides the information you may need to help you decide if the rate that has been quoted is correct for your circumstances.
Our website: www.gov.uk searching NI38.
Thank you. -
