RE: Calculating the expected return from catch up contributions
Hi,
I am afraid that HMRC are unable to advise on pension entitlement.
We can tell you what you can pay, how much it will cost and how to make the payment.
You already appear to have had advise from DWP, if you want to check this, you will need to speak to them.
The future pension centre number is 0800 731 0175 and they are open 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
However ultimately it is your decision whether to make payment or not.
Thank you. -
RE: Paying NI gaps between April 2006 and April 2016 at Class 2
Hi Spud Spud64,
I am afraid that HMRC are unable to advise on pension entitlement.
We can tell you what you can pay, how much it will cost and how to make the payment.
You appear to have had advise form DWP before making payment and I see no reason to doubt the advice you were given was correct.
However if you want to check, you will need to speak to DWP.
The future pension centre number is 0800 731 0175 and they are open 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
Thank you. -

RE: Drop Ship from USA to Germany
Hi Keith,
You would only need evidence of export of goods if the goods were leaving the UK as that would justify an export from the UK.
If the goods never enter the UK then no evidence is required.
The place of supply rules for goods are determined by where the goods are when they are supplied so if the goods are not in the UK when supplied then the
Place of Supply will never be the UK.

RE: Can I transfer my child benefit NI credits to my husband from 2006
Hi Mena M.,
To see if Child Benefit Credits may be transferred from your husband’s National Insurance account to yours, may I ask that you download form CF411A and ask your
husband to complete and return it to us.
You may download the CF411A via: Apply for National Insurance credits if you’re a parent or carer

RE: How to Pay Voluntary National Insurance Contributions from Abroad
Hi Chris,
We will allocate your payment of voluntary contributions to your National Insurance account from the youngest tax years.
We will do our best to allocate your payment as you wish and these will be reflected on your Personal Tax Account (PTA).
If, after checking your PTA, we have not allocated your payment as you wished then please either call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) or write to us to advise us.
Your payment will then be reallocated as you instruct.
Thank you. -
RE: NIC record differs from online to HMRC letter showing shortfall
Hi,
It appears that our International Team have quoted shortfalls of voluntary National Insurance contributions at the class 2 rate.
Personal Tax Accounts always show any shortfalls at the voluntary class 3 rate.
Please use the rates as detailed on our letter if you would like to pay any voluntary contributions.
You may pay voluntary contributions either one tax year at a time or multiples.
Thank you. -
RE: Class 2 (abroad) National Contributions paid but not appearing on my online record.
Hi,
It can take about 8 weeks for a payment of voluntary National Insurance contributions to be shown on your Personal Tax Account (PTA).
If it does not show on your PTA within the next few days, may I ask that you either call on National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 from overseas or write to us with details of your payment.
If you do call then our telephone lines open at 8am and are usually quieter then.
Thank you.
