RE: Second job tax
Hi Tania Joarder,
To confirm if your codes are the correct allocation of allowances for your employments, we would need to review your individual tax record.
Please contact us via:
Income Tax: general enquiries
And we can update your codes as necessary.
Thank you. -
RE:File early P11d as payroll /company ceasing to trade
Hi Steven,
You can close the PAYE scheme and still file the P11d and P11d(b)s at the end of the year.
You may be able to file an early return just now through the online system, however if the option isnt available you will need to wait until next year to file these.
Thank you.

RE:Which Self Assessment Form for non-resident and not going to use remittance basis
Hi cmuk,
Non-residents only pay tax on their UK income, they do not pay UK tax on their foreign income.
You will therefore need to tailor your tax return at section 3 to state which type of UK income you have.
Please note, as non resident, you cannot file online using HMRC software as you need to complete the residence page to confirm this.
You will need to buy 3rd party software:
Self Assessment commercial software suppliers

RE:Do I need a Self Assessment When Already Paid my Share of Capital Gains Tax on Sold Property
Hi julie Shields,
If you have no other reason to complete a tax return then no, you dont need to declare again.
If you do normally complete a return then you will declare the gain again and also complete the section for gains already reported so that you are not charged tax twice.
Thank you. -
RE: Gain/Loss on trading share options on US stock market
Hi Rex Li,
It is a capital gain but below the annual exempt amount so you do not need to declare.
Thank you. -
RE:Claiming remittance basis and the loss of personal allowance
Hi KY Wong,
As long as your tax return is submitted by 30/12/23 and you do not tick the section 'if you have not paid enough tax' then this will happen automatically.
Thank you. -
RE: Self Assessment for 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16
