RE:Benefit In Kind Effect on Tax Code
Hi sfarrelly,
It would depend if the employer is payrolling the benefit or not.
If payrolling then the car benefit in kind is added to the salary and taxed and would not then be shown as a deduction in your tax code.
If not payrolled then it would be shown as a deduction in the code to collect the tax.
Thank you. -

RE: Self assesment tax return, net adjusted income and child benefit
Hi Zembur,
If the pension contribution is taken from your net pay then yes this can be dedcuted for the adjusted net income.
If the pension contributions are taken from your salary before the tax is calculated then in this case you would not be able to deduct for the adjusted net income.
Thank you. -
RE: Child benefit/ pension deduction
Hi charlie93007,
Sorry do you mean that you pay into a company pension as the State Pension is based on your National Insurance contribtions.
If a company pension and deducted from your salary before the tax is calculated then you would not be able to deduct for the adjusted net income.
If the contribtions to the pension are from your net pay then yes you can deduct for the adjusted net income.
Thank you.
