RE:Selling Textile Designs at a French Trade show, B2B- where do I pay VAT
Hi Georgia V,
If you sell goods at a trade show then the Place of supply would be where the goods are when sold and so the Place of Supply would be in France.
However, if you are providing services then the Place of Supply would be where the business customer belongs and if the business customer is overseas then these would be subject to the reverse charge procedure by the business customer.
Please see the guidance below:
6. The place of supply rules for services

RE:National insurance contributions not showing
Hi SandyL Evans,
If you have paid your Self-assessment bill and are registered for self-employment, then the class 2 money will in time be allocated to your National Insurance account and in turn update the State Pension with DWP.
The time involved for allocations is generally six to eight weeks.
You can contact the self-employed department to enquire further, more so if you are approaching your State Pension age.
Web chat through the Personal tax account or call the NI helpline:

Overseas - + 44 191 203 7010
Open - Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Once you have confirmation that the tax year is updated, I would advise contacting the Department for work and Pensions to ensure they do a revised calculation if you are near your State Pension age.
Thank you.

RE:Paying Voluntary National Insurance contributions to increase State Pension at Retirement Age
Hi taxBear,
From your statement that you entered the UK for the first time in 2021/22 and have now obtained a National Insurance number, you can only pay for the tax year you entered the UK – Tax year 2021/2022 and onwards.
Depending on when you reach state pension age you may benefit from speaking to the future pension centre at the Department for Work and Pensions to see if you are able to attain the minimum years needed in order to receive the low amount of State Pension.

RE:Higher Rate pension relief
Hi revolver1 Ambrose,
If you are a higher rate taxpayer and the contributions are deducted from your salary before tax then you would already have received the relief and no further tax relief due.
If from your net income then the pension provider will receive 20% tax relief and if you are higher rate you would be entiled to additional 20% relief.
Thank you. -

RE:Adjusted net income for 30 free hours childcare
Hi Jade Francis,
You would not deduct the Personal Allowance of £12570.
If the pension contributions are taken from your salary before tax is calculated then the contributions would not be deducted for adjusted net income. You can check your adjusted net income here:
Personal Allowances: adjusted net income
Thank you.
