re Overpaid Student Loans £5,204.24 Refund Due Self Assessment
Hi
If borrower has paid off student loan but then charged an additional amount via SA, he should contact SLU within HMRC (Self assessment helpline on 0300 200 3310) who will then contact Student Loan Company for confirmation amount not required. If SLC confirm amount not needed SLU would then enter credit on SA statement of amount which t/p can then claim back if no other oustanding debts.

re Repay Gross or Net amount
Hi
That is between you and your employer if you have not met the conditions, however it is normally the net amount. -
re Overpaid salary- repayment.
Hi
It is normally the net amount that you need to repay. If paying back via your salary it would normally be based on your gross pay for the deduction to be taken. You will need to discuss this with your payroll department.
