I raised a complaint with HMRC over a month ago and still not been contacted. Does anyone know what the agreed response time is for HMRC to respond to a complaint ?

Hi,

If you have not received a response, if you contact the helpline for the department your complaint is regarding they may be able to escalate this to the complaints team.

Contact HMRC

Thank you.

I raised an online complaint at the end of March 2023 and sent a letter in the post as well, both delivered. Received a text message from hmrc to confirm receipt of complaint but heard nothing since, over six weeks now. What's happening? It's to do with Self Assessment and Marriage Tax Allowance claimed. When will I hear about this complaint and who's dealing with it, allocate a case worker at least?

Hi,

We do not have any timescales for the complaints team. If you have not had a reply you can contact our Self Assessment team and we can try and pass you to the complaints. department.

Self Assessment: general enquiries

Thank you.

Why when trying to make a complaint do I always get a error message saying this service isn't available? I can't contact the relevant department and neither eori or CDs have a contact number and don't respond to emails or help forms. So what happens next? How can I continue in business with a platform like this, it's a shambles. Do I take legal action against HMRC?
