Hi, I currently live and work in Canada. We have been here since 2019. I am now looking to move back to the UK and will therefore be liquidating all my assets and transferring funds to my UK bank accounts. All my income here will have been taxed by the Canadian government prior to the transfer. Will I be required to pay tax again once back into the UK? Many thanks

Hi James Sweatman,
You will not be taxed on any of the capital you transfer but any interest or dividends this then generates will be liable to tax.
Thank you.
