I recently submitted the self assessment form but I think that I got my state pension calculation wrong. During the tax year I began to receive state pension for the first time in June. Then in July the amount increased and remained the same until March. So I just added all 10 months up and submitted this as my pension entitlement. Now the taxman's calculation has arrived and they have calculated it as a higher figure. What did I do wrong ?

Hi Bizzy55,

The system would calculate the amount of the State Pension you were entitled to from the starting date up to the end of the tax year on 05/04.

Thank you.
