RE:Missing National Insurance Credits
Hi B74,
At HMRC we do not have a contact number for DWP in Northern Ireland for queries regarding missing credits.
There is a NI Direct Government Services website which provides useful information for customers living in Northern Ireland:
https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/
However, the correct action for you to take regarding your missing Working Tax Credit National Insurance credits, would be to contact HMRC on 0300 200 3500 and we will investigate this for you. Lines are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Thank you.

RE:Can I claim Class 2 contributions if working abroad before 2015?
Hi Roseleen Kelly,
I can confirm that it is possible to pay voluntary Class 2 National Insurance contributions whilst overseas from the 2006-2007 tax year.
If you could send us a letter with your correct dates of employment our International Team will be able to review your National Insurance account and quote any voluntary Class 2 contributions that are recorded.
Our postal address is:
HM Revenue & Customs, PT Operations North East England, BX9 1AN, United Kingdom.
Before paying any voluntary contributions you should check with the Future Pension Centre to make sure that it is worthwhile for you to pay them. Details of how to do this may be found here:
Check your State Pension forecast
Thank you.

Hi Rainbow485,
Although there may be 2 online accounts, you can only have each service assigned to one account not both.
You will need to contact OSH to look in to this further for you.

RE: Yet to receive NI number
Hi joicylara,
Unfortunately, HMRC do not allocate National Insurance numbers, you will need to contact the Department for work and Pensions to chase this up. Their contact number is 0800 141 2079.
If the Department for Work and Pensions confirm that you have been allocated with a National Insurance number and you have not been notified, you can request a letter confirming your National Insurance number from HMRC.
You can request this by calling us on 0300 200 3500, lines are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Thank you.

RE: Requested the A1 form to HMRC
Hi Sian Edwards,
HMRC will issue the A1 certificate with the approved stamped signature.
We are in discussions with the Spanish authorities you will need to provide the name and address of the foreign office which is not accepting the A1 certificate already issued.
This would have to be done in writing and not via this forum, as posting personal information of individuals will be a breach of GDPR.
Thank you.

RE: CGT Reporting Limit
Hi Chico99,
The guidance on declaring Capital Gains Tax arising from the disposal of a residential property in the UK, in a Self Assessment Tax return, advises that two criteria must be met.
1 - A tax return is required for any other reason
2 - In 23/24 the assets disoposed of exceed £50000 (£49200 for earlier tax years).
Thank you.
