If there are two Executors, do both have to complete CGT return dividing the assets/liabilities or can just one Executor complete it (the main contact for the Solicitor & Estate Agent with permission of the other Executor) and pay the whole amount due?

Hi,

If it is being sold as part of the estate, then only one would report any gain.

If the property has already been transferred to the beneficiaries to sell, each one would need to report their share.

Thank you.
