in the tax year 2021/22 i started self employment and got a years support with universal credit declaring monthly earnings and expenses- how is this added to the tax return. i have been told universal credit is not a taxable benefit and therefore this section is a no. please confirm this is correct

I'd also like to know the answer to this. I'm wondering whether I include it in the Any other business income section, which I am not able to enter as £0.

Hi simena,

Universal Credit is not declared on the return, as it's a non taxable benefit.
