I am living in Switzerland since 20+ years and would like to understand the tax implications of taking the full redemption value of my only UK pension (at age 55) and transferring the funds to Switzerland. The pension value is low and I have never had any other pension in the UK. I understand that 25% of any lump sum is tax free and the remainder is subject to UK tax, however the applicable tax rates are not clear to me. Could you please advise where I can find the relevant information. Thank you and Regards, Erica

Hi EricaW,

For the rates, please refer to -

You may also want to consider double taxation relief -

Thank you.
