Self-Assessment Shows Nothing to Pay

Hi, I’ve submitted my self assessment tax return for 20/21 and there was no bill to pay this year (I had not accrued enough interest on my savings this year). However HMRC keep sending me email reminders to submit my payment. I’m assuming this is a standard email, however I really don’t want to get fined! Please reassure me that HMRC will check my record and not automatically issue me with a fine. Thank you.

If online is not showing a payment I would not expect there to be any amounts due. If you are still receiving emails please contact our Self Assessment team who can check your record to confirm not amount is due.
