I'm trying to enter US dividend payments which are subject to 15% with-holding tax in the US. A chunk of this can be off-set against UK tax - or at least it has been in recent years. But the online system refuses to let me select 15% on the drop down menu. Instead I am constantly asked to "add" this income, and then I'm told to check and amend when I select 15%. Bizarrely, when I log out in exasperation, and then log back in, the information has been saved, but the final calculation doesn't include my foreign dividends. Anyone else suffering this problem? Anyone discovered a solution or a workaround? Ta. Bob

Hi bobjefford,

The section dividends from foreign companies asks for a reference to describe the dividends, for example name of company, the country the dividends are from, the gross dividend in pounds sterling, Foreign Tax taken off or paid, do you wish to claim Foreign Tax Credit Relief and the rate of relief allowed (USA = 15%). Click on add. This will clear the screen and allow you to add move dividend options. If this is the only dividend to enter, please now click on save and continue.

Thank you.
