PAYE appearing in record but not Self Assessment ?! - cannot enter Gifts and Pension without it

Last year I entered Self Assessment to add the extra Pension contributions I had paid. My PAYE employment was already available in the employment section. This year the Employment section is empty. If I go to PAYE previous years it is there but without detailed breakdown. Do I have to go somewhere and find it, and all the other details like how any medical benefits are calculated etc?!
