Please can you advise for claiming expenses how far back can someone go if the receipts are not available any more?

Hi,

If you no longer have receipts you will not be able to claim
as you would be asked for evidence to support your claim .

Thank you.

You must have an account, otherwise you have no hope of getting any compensation. You have to produce it in order to have a claim, otherwise you have no basis for it, because you cannot document it and you cannot prove it. Nobody is likely to let you off the hook in such a case.

Hi snoop dogg,

You can claim expenses currently going back to the tax year 2019 to 2020 however if HMRC request evidence of the expenses you won't be able to proceed.

Thank you.
