Completing Tax self-assessment for the first time, but not clear if I should register more than one company I was employed by. The reason being I left my job on 31st March and started my new job on 4th April which is 1 day inside the 5th April tax window. The problem being I do not have any information in relation to earnings/tax for that 1 day. So, it seems to me that I should not declare the new employment in this tax self-assessment, (Note the employment is not self-employed)

Hi,

If you did not receive any income, you can declare the employment on the return and enter £0.00 for pay and tax.

Thank you.
