Self Assessment Filing Problems

Hello, I registered for self-assessment 3 months ago. I never got a UTR number and I can't find where I am supposed to file my tax return on the homepage after you have to signed into it. This is my first tax return. I was with an employer up until Dec 22 and since then I have been self-employed. I really don't understand as I feel like the website is taking me round in circles. I'm panicking as the deadline is soon. Help! Thank you

When you sign into your Personal Tax Account, there should be a Self Assessment tile if you have been registered.

You can  check with our helpline if a UTR has been generated:

You have said this is your first tax return registering three months ago.

The period for this tax return will be-  tax year 22/23 - 06/04/2022- 05/4/2023, last filing date  31/1/2024. 

Tax return due by 31/01/2023 is for the tax year 21/22- 06/04/2021- 5/04/2022.
