Hi I was wondering if I need to answer "Yes" to the below if I received statutory maternity pay (actually my employer did and topped it up to pay my full salary): Did you receive any UK pensions, annuities or state benefits, for example, state pension, occupational pension, retirement annuity, Incapacity Benefit? My understanding is that I do not as SMP is not taxable, but I wanted to check. Thanks a lot

Not hmrc, so you may wish to wait for their official response. But as I understand it, SMP isn't a state benefit (it's earnings, paid by your employer) though it is taxable and should be included on any p45 or p60 you have been given (or will be given at a future date).

Hi,

This will be included within your pay so the answer is 'no' to this question  .

Thank you.
