Help - 2nd week trying to get somewhere with this - being past backwards and forwards, holding on for hours for a reply, getting cut off, getting directed to "robot" help with generic answers and no real advisers ever available then directed back to original number! . Cannot use digi.id to log on to submit my self-assessment anymore - Gov. uk could not find my email address. After days of frustration I set up a new Government Gateway Account and now cannot get past their i.d. verification though all answers are correct. I am told it is a technical problem and has to be dealt with the online help which is a robot, then I eventually get an email answer to say it is not a technical problem which directs me back to the original number ...... and so it goes on. I cannot submit my return through no fault of my own!

Hi,

If you are unable to pass the ID verification questions you will not be able to submit an online return and will need to complete a paper return.
