I previously semi-successfully used the online system to do my self assessment. Have a UTR and a password. But the system wants to send authorisation codes to mobiles that I don't have. The system pretends to offer you another way, so I went through the rigmarole of new security checks, NI number payments , tax payments Passport etc. You get through the next stage and it offers... new telephone number, or suggests download an authorisation app on your smartphone. I am very short sighted and no longer use phones, anyone have a way of getting authorisation codes via EMAIL?

Hi TIMUKBAKER

Unfortunately there is no option to receive an access code through email
The options are:
Authentication app
A code sent to a mobile via text message
A voice call to a landline-which may be the best option if you have a landline.

Thank you

Thanks will use a friends phone to get my codes. Maybe next year things will improve for the short sighted.
