I am needing advice for our personal household possessions that we are shipping over from New Zealand. We came to the UK 15 years ago and have since become citizens. In that time, our personal items were in storage in NZ. We have recently returned from a short trip to NZ in which we packed up and are shipping these personal items over to the UK. Due to the length of time we have been in the UK, it appears we do not qualify for the transfer of residence relief. All our items we are shipping are old and used from our life in NZ and are sentimental to us. I have received an Intent to Reject letter and have a short time to appeal. Is there anything else we can do to apply for exemption based on the contents of our shipping?

Hi,

You will need to follow the instructions on the letter or you could send an email to our transfer of residence team who should be able to assist.

Thank you.
