If the person's last date of employment is 7th Oct and the normal company payroll is processed & paid 28th Oct when do I have to issue P45? Employee wants it on 7th Oct. Can I issue P45 when I actually pay the last wages on 28th Oct or do I have to physically issue on 7th Oct followed by payment on 28th Oct. Her last date of employment will be 7th Oct no matter when I actually send the P45. I wasn't planning on reporting via RTI the P45 until 28th Oct along with normal payroll, as I don't want 2 RTI submissions in one pay period. I'm hoping that

The P45 can be issued on the 07/10/2022 it will have the year to date fig up to the 07/10/2022 and the payment on the 28/10/2022 will be a payment after leaving.

There is no fixed time when you have to give a P45 form. This depends on the employer. For example, if you are employed with a company for more than six months, then you should be issued with a P45 form in the first week of the month.
