I've just submitted my self assessment. It shows what I owe for the tax year 21/22 and the first payment on account for 22/23. It doesn't however show the two payments on account I already made for 21/22, which are are a little more than what I owe for 21/22. No final calculation is shown, looks like i need to work it out myself? Which would be: Amount I owe for 21/22 minus the Jan 22 and July 22 payments on account plus first payment on account for 22/23 Is this correct? I can't quite believe I have to work this out msyelf, is this a glitch in the system? Thanks

Hi,

The calculation shows the total amount of tax due for the year. It does not include payments that you have already made. You should subtract the payments on account made from the total amount showing for 2021 to 2022.

Thank you.
