Hi, We have an employee that will be coming to the end of their SSP very soon . How would this be submitted on the RTI PAYE Tools? Would this be as 0? Thanks

Hi Laura Gren,

You would not pay the employee if their entitlement to SSP  has ended.
Please also check your employee's employment contract to see if you are liable to pay further wages/salary.
Please see:
SPM110800 - Statutory Sick Pay (SSP): general information - when entitlement ends
Thank you.

Hello Yes I understand that but how does it go through the RTI PAYE tools?

Hi Laura Gren,

It doen't go through the tool, you simply stop any SSP after entitlement ends.

Thank you,

Hi SazzleDT,

If the NHS income and more than 50% of income is from the NHS, and they are not a charity then they are not eligible for the Employment Allowance.

Thank you.
