New Starter P45 FPS entry

Should the FPS contain a new starters P45 details? We have had a new payroll system which automatically defaults to a new starter declaration of C. We have then entered the P45 for the new starter a couple of days later but before the first FPS is submitted. On looking at the FPS there is no mention of the P45 only the declaration of C. Should the FPS show the P45 details? Thanks, Anna-Maria

If you have the P45 details they should be entered onto your payroll software.
You will need to speak to your software provider if it is defaulting back to an incorrect declaration.

Thank you for your reply, do you have an example of how the P45 details appear in a FPS please? I've looked everywhere and I can't find an example of this scenario. Does the StartDec field still appear in the FPS?

It would depend on what software you are using if it is a third party software I would speak to the provider for more information.
